Faculty Recital: Lee Hinkle, percussion

UNIVERSITY PARK (2/7/2022) – Percussionist Lee Hinkle will present a faculty recital on Sunday, February 27, at 4 pm in the Recital Hall of the Penn State School of Music. The program includes works by three local composers Maurice Wright (Temple University), Andrea Clearfield (Philadelphia, PA), and Baljinder Sekhon (Penn State) with additional repertoire by Iannis Xenakis and Ingrid Stöelzel. Hinkle will be joined by fellow faculty members Naomi Seidman (flute) and Anthony Costa (clarinet) as well as graduate students Malcolm Taylor (percussion) and Zachary Wilson (percussion) and Professional Performance Certificate student Corey Sittinger (percussion). Admission is free. The recital will be livestreamed on the Penn State School of Music's livestream page. Hinkle joined the Penn State Schoolof Music faculty in 2021 as director of percussion studies. Penn State requires that masks be worn in all University buildings and emphasizes its commitment to cleaning and ventilating its spaces. In addition, the School of Music will work to ensure the safety of its patrons by positioning contactless ticketing kiosks and hand-sanitizing stations throughout the venues.
