Department of Architecture welcomes new hire for fall 2021
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Department of Architecture within the Stuckeman School has added Tess Clancy to its faculty as an assistant teaching professor beginning with the fall 2021 semester.
Clancy was most recently a visiting critic with the Cornell University College of Architecture, Art, and Planning (AAP) Cornell in Rome program in 2020. While in Rome, she also served as an intern architect with Labics, an architectural and urban planning practice.
Prior to her time in Italy, Clancy was an invited lecturer for the “Directed Research Seminar” course at Syracuse University. While there, she also worked as an architectural designer with architect and educator Sarosh Anklesaria.
Clancy earned her master of architecture from Cornell AAP in 2018 where she was awarded the Richmond Harold Shreve Award for her thesis, “Eroding the Confederacy: Revealing + Dismantling White Supremacy on Richmond’s Monument Ave.” She holds a master’s degree in art from New York University and a bachelor’s degree from Bryn Mawr College.
Clancy will be teaching first-year design studio and "Architecture and Ideas" in the fall.
