Wines' Work Exhibited at ADAA Art Show

An exhibition of architecture professor James Wines' drawings and models for SITE, the New York City-based art/architecture practice he founded in 1970, will be on display at the Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA) Art Show at Park Avenue Armory, Feb. 28-March 4. The works in this exhibit have been chosen to represent some of the main areas of exploration in SITE's work since the 1970s – in particular, the blurring of boundaries traditionally separating art, architecture, landscape, and public space.

Wines is the recipient of the Smithsonian Institution's 2013 National Design Award for Lifetime Achievement. As SITE's president and creative director, he has designed and built more than 150 art/architectural projects in the United States and internationally. His seven books include De-Architecture, published by Rizzoli International in 1987, and Green Architecture, published by Taschen Verlag in 2000. He has delivered lectures at hundreds of colleges, universities, and conferences around the world.
