SoVA NASAD Exhibitions Now on Display!

Penn State School of Visual Arts presents, on the occasion of the 2017 NASAD accreditation visit, a suite of exhibitions, including 5econd, NOW.SEE.HERE, and Picture Plains, highlighting the work of our degree students and recent graduates. Each exhibition will feature a reception Monday, November 13, 5:00-7:00 p.m.

5econd, in the Borland Project Space through November 17, features the work of second-year Master of Fine Arts candidates Ming Feng, Bradley Klem, Holly Veenis, Terry Young and Xexi Zhang. Together, the works in 5econd present the on-going artistic development of the five artists in their second and final year of study in the School of Visual Arts MFA program.

NOW.SEE.HERE., on display in SoVA?s Edwin W. Zoller Gallery through December 1, is a curated exhibition that showcases the width, depth, and breadth of the undergraduate programs within the School of Visual Arts. Including Foundations, Drawing and Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, Photography, New Media, and Ceramics,†the show features work from beginning to advanced students, freshman through seniors.

Picture Plains, on display in HumpDay Gallery through November 17, AND in Patterson Gallery November 13-20, presents selections of work by first-year MFA candidates alongside that of graduates of our MFA programs. This exhibition is designed by students from Art 497: Curator?s Workshop.

In addition Penn State?s HUB Robeson gallery is featuring SoVA Faculty Exhibition, showcasing work of our full-time faculty who teach visual arts and design as part of their academic and professional practice. A public reception will take place Tuesday, November 14, 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the gallery.
