Ph.D. candidate Janet Purdy awarded Daniel F. and Ada L. Rice Postdoctoral Curatorial Fellowship in African Art at the Art Institute of Chicago

PhD Candidate Janet Purdy was awarded the three-year Daniel F. and Ada L. Rice Postdoctoral Curatorial Fellowship in African Art at the Art Institute of Chicago. She will focus on expanding knowledge of the museum's African collection through acquisitions, in-depth research, and exhibitions of existing and future holdings in the areas of eastern and southern Africa beginning Spring 2020.
