The evening features two performances; Incarnation by siri gurudev and Bluebird Cutebook by Sarah Genevieve Burghart Rice.

Incarnation is a ritualistic performance art piece that delves into the realms of sound, movement, and costume. It chronicles the journey of an "entity" as it harmonizes with the four elements of nature—air, water, fire, and earth—ultimately achieving full vitality. This piece is uniquely participatory, inviting four random audience members to serve as anchors for the entity on stage, each tasked with a simple, yet essential, role.

Bluebird Cutebook is a short musical drama that follows Birdie as she escapes from abuse, only for sturdy Wayhouse Castle to stand in her way; there she must again contend with imperious forces that dissolve shelter. Bluebird Cutebook considers the ways that sex and gender interact with our conceptions of voices, experimenting with the roles that we apply to voices, as well as traditions of how to sing, in order to open up spaces of greater freedom for everyone.

This project was made possible in part by a Faculty Research Grant from the Penn State College of Arts and Architecture.
