Biography
Jerrold Maddox was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana in 1932.
He attended Indiana University, and received a BS degree in 1954 and an MFA in 1959.
He served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956.
Professor Maddox began teaching in 1960 at Wayne State University and has taught a variety of different subjects, including humanities, art appreciation, painting, drawing, design, and web design, in the years since then.
He came to Penn State in 1980 and in 1995 he began teaching primarily online.
As an artist, he has widely exhibited his work in painting, drawing, and photography, including at the Museum of Modern Art.
He is also an author and illustrator.
