Biography

Erin is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Creative Arts Therapies in the Office of Digital Learning. She was brought on to design an introductory course in art therapy for inter-disciplinary learning and recently designed a second course related to practical applications of the creative arts.

Erin is a Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) who holds her Master of Science in Art Therapy Counseling and a Graduate Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders from Emporia State University in Kansas. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Family and Child Sciences with a minor in Psychology from The Florida State University. She is currently pursuing her doctorate at Drexel University with expected graduation by 2022. Before joining Penn State, Erin facilitated art therapy with people of all ages and abilities. Additionally, she created and supervised internships for PSU students. Erin loves to read, create art, practice yoga, and spend time in nature with her children.
