Partnering on Research
Solving the world’s most pressing issues.

The collaboration between higher education and industry, practitioners, and foundations is a leading force in developing innovations that can be quickly assimilated into practices that result in real impact.

Companies and firms become Stuckeman Industry Partners because they are interested in integrating our research innovations, design, and thought leadership into their own practice or company.

Specifically, our industry partners join us to:

Advance the Stuckeman School’s Mission of preparing the designers of tomorrow to shape the world in which we live. Our research centers and labs that are leading the way in addressing some of the world’s most pressing, and complex, issues surrounding the constructed environment of buildings and landscapes. This includes:

  • The development of material innovations and building processes and new approaches for energy efficiencies, resiliency, and carbon reduction.
  • The development of design research to address issues of community resiliency and sustainability while considering the dynamic forces of climate change. We integrate the fundamentals of ecological systems with design outcomes.
  • Working at the scales of the region, the city, the community, the room, and the material in hand. Our work can include augmented reality, virtual environments, design computing, and artificial intelligence.

Gain new insights. We are educators and researchers, not consultants. The Stuckeman School research centers and labs serve as a neutral convener and our value is in our expertise as educators and objectivity as researchers, which translates into accelerated learning with students, and fresh perspectives.

Learn from peers and industry leaders. We convene leaders and academics from across disciplines in unique events that inspire, accelerate learning, and are future-focused

Access talent. We provide access to top-notch student talent from the Stuckeman School in architecture, graphic design, and landscape architecture. Our students are in professional degree programs and come from across the globe to join our doctoral research.
