SoVA Alumnus Devan Shimoyama To Have Solo Exhibition At Warhol Museum

Devan Shimoyama (?11 B.F.A.) will present a solo exhibition of artworks at the Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, October 2018. His current solo exhibition, Sweet, is on display at the De Buck Gallery in New York, through December 9, 2017. His work is also featured in a group exhibition, ?Fictions,? at the Studio Museum in Harlem through January 7, 2018.

Shimoyama has exhibited extensively in the United States, and internationally in Realities in Contemporary Video Art at the Fondation des Etats Unis, in Paris, France. He has also had solo booths at Independent NY in 2017 with Stems Gallery and PULSE Miami Beach in 2016 with Samuel Freeman Gallery, where he was awarded the PULSE Prize. Shimoyama has been featured in publications such as The Los Angeles Times, The Creator's Project on Vice, New American Paintings Pinwheel, Filthy Dreams, and Saatchi Art's 'Best of 2014'.

Shimoyama received his MFA from Yale University School of Art in Painting/Printmaking in 2014 and is currently full-time faculty at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA.
