Biography

Suzanne Roy, retired Associate Professor of Voice, taught at Penn State from 1978 to 2004. A soprano singer, Suzanne Roy was noted for recital and opera engagements throughout the United States, and was beloved by her students and colleagues at Penn State and her previous teaching positions, which included Radford University in Virginia, and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She earned degrees from the University of Michigan (BA and M.Mus.) and the University of Wisconsin (DMA), where she was a student of Bettina Björgsten. She also attended the University of New Hampshire and Yale Conservatory.
