Judith Maloney

Biography

Judith Maloney teaches in the Department of Art History at Penn State. She also holds an administrative position with the University.

She received an M.F.A. in Fiction Writing and a Masters in Art History from Tulane University. For 17 years she was a faculty member at Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA, teaching courses in Italian Renaissance Art, African American Art (creating that course), Philosophy of Art, and the Survey of Western Art. At the same time, she held positions as Curator, then Director, of the Juniata College Museum of Art. Exhibitions curated for the JCMA included: Jacob Lawrence: Three Series of Prints, 2007; Mohammed Al Shammarey: Rain Song, 2010; Faces of Time: Drawings and Prints by Old and Modern Masters, 2009. She has written and published on Jacob Lawrence, Richard Mayhew, and Archibald Motley; written numerous exhibition catalogues; and written and published short stories and essays.
