Jesse Moore

Biography

Jesse Tyler Moore is an accomplished musician and educator specializing in guitar and bass guitar instruction. With a deep passion for popular music genres such as rock, blues, funk, and metal, Jesse brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to his teaching. His interests also extend to modern music pedagogical practices, songwriting, and arranging.

Jesse holds a degree in guitar performance from the prestigious Berklee School of Music and is a graduate of the CAP21 Musical Theatre Conservatory in New York City. His diverse background includes performing as a children's entertainer, pit musician, and singer-songwriter in the vibrant New York music scene.

At Penn State, Jesse directs the Rock Ensemble (MUSIC 188.2), a dynamic 1-credit performing group that focuses on 20th- and 21st-century popular music. As a State College native, he remains actively involved in the local music community, supporting bands and theatre productions as a guitarist and bassist.
