Biography
For over 20 years Ben Kiley has worked as a music director and educator – teaching piano, music theory, music theatre history, building a private practice as a vocal coach for musical theatre repertoire, and has also taught music composition for theatre. Since obtaining his BMus from The University of Melbourne in Australia, Ben has performed throughout Australia and Asia on productions such as A Chorus Line, Spamalot and The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Previously based in NYC, Ben was an accompanist and music director at Pace University and was also assistant conductor/pianist for the critically acclaimed production of Fiddler on the Roof (in Yiddish) directed by Tony winner Joel Grey.
He has composed and written theatre pieces performed in Australia and Singapore, and appeared as pianist and arranger on the award winning Australian television programme The Choir of Hard Knocks. This is his first production at PSU and he could not be more pleased to be here.
