Sarah Schouten

Biography

Dr. Sarah Schouten is an active educator and performer. Sarah performs regularly with the Altoona Symphony Orchestra, Penns Woods Music Festival, and freelances frequently with other orchestras throughout Pennsylvania. As a lecturer and performer, Sarah has presented and performed at numerous conferences, workshops, and festivals including the International Horn Symposium, the International Women’s Brass Conference, the Southeast and Northeast Horn Workshops, the Stander Symposium, and Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. Sarah earned her DM from Florida State University, her MM from The Pennsylvania State University, and BA in history, Spanish, and music, from the University of Dayton. She is also an alumna of the Pierre Monteux School. Prior faculty appointments include Susquehanna University, Mercyhurst University, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and Marywood University.
