Erik Johnson

Biography

Erik holds an MFA in Acting from Penn State University, Teacher Certification from Middle Tennessee State University, training from FSU Asolo Conservatory, BA in Theatre from University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.

Erik has taught acting, movement, martial arts, stage combat, creative writing, and literature to students of all ages in his teaching career. A Meisner technique and Practical Aesthetics trained actor, Erik has worked as a professional actor on camera, and regionally and internationally on stage. Favorite past roles include: Jack in RACE, Chris in ALL MY SONS, and Adam in THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (ABRIDGED).

As a movement coach and fight choreographer, Erik has choreographed multiple shows for professional, university, and community productions. A lifelong practitioner of martial arts, Erik also has specific movement training in impulse work, Lecoq, and Laban. Certified stage combat SAFD, certified martial arts instructor, proud member of Actor's Equity Association, Member of Society of American Fight Directors, Member of Association of Theatre Movement Educators.
