Nichols' article addresses equity in music education during pandemic

Bryan E. Nichols, assistant professor of music education, recently had an article, "Equity in Music Education: Access to Learning During the Pandemic and Beyond," published in Music Educators Journal. A former middle and high school music teacher, he teaches choral methods and leads the Penn State University Choir. His research centers on singing accuracy and pitch perception. He is a founder of the Penn State Pitch Exploration Lab, a space for undergraduates or graduates from any major on campus to explore music, brain and psychology topics. Nichols is a life member of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) and has served in leadership positions in ACDA and National Association for Music Education (NAfME).
