All University Park students are invited and encouraged to continue their music making as a member of one of Penn State’s many ensembles, which are open to all students regardless of major.

Private lessons on numerous instruments are provided for non-major students. Lessons are intended for students with prior experience and are offered on the following instruments:

Note: Because private music lessons involve one-on-one instruction, they are inherently more expensive than most university classes. Thus, it is usual for institutions to charge an additional fee to assist with the extra costs of one-on-one instruction.
