Stephanie Nimick

Biography

Stephanie has been searching for, and enjoying the company of, storytellers and creative problem solvers her whole career. Her search started at Penn State, where she discovered scenic art for the theater and earned her BFA in Theater Production. She continued on to grad school at Brandeis University where she received her MFA in Scenic Art and Design. After graduation, she worked several freelance opportunities including: adjunct lecturer for Queens College in NYC, scenic artist for Global Scenic Services in CT (The Kennedy Center/ Broadway Follies and the Victoria Secret Fashion Show), and as a scenic artist for two films (Love And Other Drugs and Bride Wars). In the summer of 2009, she started working at The Glimmerglass Festival in Cooperstown,NY as the Assistant Charge Artist, helping to create fantasy worlds on stage for opera and musicals. The following season she moved into the Charge Scenic Artist position and has been there every season since. She was also the Charge Artist for Center Stage in Baltimore, MD and for the USC School of Drama in Los Angeles, CA before returning to Penn State as a faculty member.
