Purchase TicketsThe Penn State Campus Band and Symphonic Band will present an evening of music celebrating the diverse sounds and traditions of the concert band on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 7:30 p.m. in Eisenhower Auditorium. Under the direction of Mary Capilitan-Pulanco, Katie Pierce and Lex Kohler, the Campus Band will perform works by Satoshi Yagisawa, James Barnes, William Grant Still and Yo Goto, while the Symphonic Band, directed by Professor Robert Hickey, will perform works by Peter Mennin, Charles Ives, Dwayne S. Milburn, John Philip Sousa and Dennis Llinás. The program ranges from fanfares and beloved American melodies to works inspired by hymns, marches and Latin American musical traditions.
